The Ukrainian Bandurist Chorus (UBC) and Hoosli Ukrainian Male Chorus (Hoosli) announce the release of the anticipated recording – Brotherhood. This live recording is a result of the UBC and Hoosli joint concert series from September of 2012. This recording will be available for purchase starting December 1, 2012.

The Brotherhood Concert Series was a collaboration of the Detroit-based UBC, under the direction of Oleh Mahlay, and Winnipeg-based Hoosli, under the direction of William Solomon. Two concerts were presented: one in St. Catharines, Ontario on Friday, September 21, 2012 at the Cathedral of St. Catherine of Alexandria, and one in Toronto, Ontario on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Ryerson Theatre.

For viewing audiences, its a rare look into the workings of the UBC that sheds light on not just the tour, but gives a glimpse of the UBC's rich history. The UBC had the unique opportunity to work with renowned picture editor James Ho Lim for this project.

On July 1st, 1994 the Ukrainian Bandurist Chorus commenced a concert tour of Southern Ukraine and Crimea. The Chorus performed in eight cities to supportive and curious audiences. This documentary highlights those experiences.

Mnohaya Lita – Многая Літа
This traditional Ukrainian song is considered a celebratory song that wishes you many happy years. Ukrainians typically sing Mnohaya Lita for birthdays and other special occasions such as weddings, anniversaries, and any other festive celebration. Due to its popularity, Mnohaya Lita has many different versions.
